Nina Sudhakar is a writer, poet, and lawyer. Born and raised in Connecticut, she's since put down roots in NYC, DC, and London and is currently based in Chicago.
Nina is the author of Where to Carry the Sound (winner of the 2024 Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Short Fiction) and the poetry chapbooks Matriarchetypes and Embodiments. Her work has appeared in publications including The Rumpus, Witness, The Offing, and Ecotone. She also serves as Dispatches Editor & Book Reviews Editor for The Common and as a Board Member of the Chicago Poetry Center.
Nina holds a JD/MSFS from Georgetown University and a BA from Amherst College. She is a member of the New York bar.
